Apologies to those who asked…

Current mood: drunk

…. But alas, yes, I am still alive but have been what can honestly be said to have been (and still am) somewhat busy.

So, getting the hum drum tat out of the way – the new job is going very well and I am enjoying it loads, even if the money is somewhat scarily lacking, but nothing a bit of overzealous cheap skating wont sort for s few months whilst on probation as such.

Then there is this week of which I have finally had paid holiday *yay* and has been spent re-decorating the second bedroom into a proper study with a big desk unit and many a shelf to compensate for my amazing hoarding ability with computer appliances. Sands central on the wood parts and myself on the electrics and decorating/flooring has come good – and tonight that second fix of bits ready for sanding and wiring came good ready for prepping tomorrow. It has been a hard old slog but the results seem to be worth it so far.

(my arse)

Ok so now time to moan (as per usual) and this week it's thanks to arseholes in a DIY store – namely B&Q, who get the 'jobs worth' of the bleeding year award. Not only would they not open the trade till right near to the door where the van was parked to get said sodding great bits of wood out but then had the gall to pretend to feel guilty when seconds after we had dragged said big wood items through the normal tills and back round to van they opened trade door just to wander out to stock check…. Arsehole.

Evidently I am now convinced that all staff there are sent on a

"I really don't give a fuck course" and if so, where can I book myself into one… it would certainly come in bloody handy for future reference!

Hmmm what else? Ahh yes the new drive has now started to drop sufficiently enough that it catches the exhaust on my bloody car now (has pulled it right off already once) so need to ring up said chappie who did it to moan like a cunt at and also am being reminded many times about things I should have done around the home such as guttering which needed fixing some years ago and never got round to due to laziness, vodka and many other very useless excuses.

On the whole though I am still pretty much not all the ticket, somewhat drunk which isn't a surprise and yes have ability to write crap for all to read and wonder why the bloody hell I still do it. But then if I was to change you would all worry what was wrong…. Or not which is more likely the case.

Nighty night; spinning room awaits….

It’s official….

Current mood: chipper
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

I now have a winter job which starts… on Monday.

Yep, I gave in and decided to go for it after figuring I would at least be able to progress both in working status and money once in and after all come a few weeks I would have been out of a job!

The job "title" as such is fleet coordinator… cough cough splutter… but it's nothing at all as good as it sounds. Basically I will be someone else's bitch for a while. I can cope with that I suppose.

Good thing is I will have time to recover after all the sprains, strains, bruises; knocks, clumps and everything else which has completely bugger me up over the summer!

Also being back on a 9-5 will help out with the mad arsed mutt dog, who has really been struggling with the "here there and everybloodywhere" routine of the past 6 months ish. Might just do me some good too!

So today's jaunt down to Cardiff in the worlds most PINK van with now a pink bloody unit on tow behind will be my last job away L.

(as pink as the words UK above *sigh*)

Can't say I won't miss the travelling as it really has been fun out on the open road and all that guff but it was starting to cost me a bloody fortune after all both physically and financially.

Hmmmm

Current mood: frustrated
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

Ok so maybe I am not in the best of moods at the moment. Sands Central has been away for bloody ages and won't be back until tomorrow and then as per usual we are both sodding off again quick smart and I will be away for the whole bloody week.

Then, it's a bit of a bad case of "good news bad news" Seeing as I do like working for TRO, when the opportunity to apply for a full time job there came up (including winter) I jumped at it. Had my interview a couple of weeks ago and was told Friday morning it was mine.

HOWEVER….

And this is a huge however in my book; the starting wage is, well, completely pants if I am honest.

Not that I am influenced by money these days, as to be honest I could quite happily live on this pittance being offered and it will go up as and when (and quite quickly I am told) but I think what has really annoyed me is how undervalued I feel with it all.

I have so many qualifications for the new job that are worth more than that and should have at least been offered if nothing else a bit more.

Or maybe it is a test… to see if I will take it regardless of the money just to "show willing" as such.

To be honest I have been showing willing all my bloody life and will have to think about if I can really be bothered to start afresh as a minion….

Hmmmmm will decide tonight whilst down in Luton (again)

*humph*
