Is it just me?

Current mood: cranky
Category: Life

Or are people just getting more stupid? I have a postman, who can't quite get it right between me and next doors, not really that difficult; both our names and the house numbers are obviously different. Hmmm, worrying that.

Then there are those nice parents who just cannot control their sprogs be it in a restaurant, supermarket, the street or really anywhere if I'm honest. If you cant handle the little buggers then hand them over to social services who themselves should have their own "culling" system in place. More that 3 strikes of being a little shit and you get used as slave labour or as fuel for a power station to heat & light the rest of us.

What really bloody annoys me is all these twats out there popping vermin get everything for it, money from the government, decent parking spaces near things and all sorts of other tat which they shouldn't get when there's poor sods like me out there working, for a living not claiming, not producing offspring into an already overcrowded world and what do I get?

Fuck all.

Personally I think it's about time those in charge got off their arses and made some sort of "reward package" for those who don't cost the country shitloads of money. Maybe they should instead change the council tax so that you pay extra 25% per sprog - per household and like the single persons 25% off allowance AND for those who don't a reduction of 50%. I'd be very happy with that.

In fact why not tax everything to do with babies; nappies, food, bottles, car seats you name it, slap another 17.5% NAT (nipper added tax) as well as VAT, that might slow the buggers down a bit.

And, seeing as I am having a good gripe I'm going to once again moan about my fav pet peeve - the lack of driving ability on the roads.

(Yep, motorways again *sigh*)

It's my same old whinge… 3 lanes but people refusing to use the inside lane when it's empty.

Tossers.

I have finally resorted to undertaking them these days – not that it drops the subtlest of hints as the wankers still sit out there.

I did however see one thing on the way to Scotland which made me think there maybe light at the end of the tunnel…

One matrix (yes just one on such a long journey) saying "after overtaking keep to the left"

Hoofuckingrah! Now why not put that on every one which has no traffic message by default?

PLEASE?

Opps

Current mood: drunk
Category: Life

Apologies, it seem's I am somewhat drunk once again… but why change the habit of a lifetime eh?

Been a busy day all in all unloaded the van, vandalised some flagpoles, did some other fannying about and finally got home about 7pm tired and ready for voddy it seems.

Daft thing about today though, I managed to get the picture taken of all us reprobates at TRO when we started out the season emailed to home today and it struck me funny at just how much weight people have lost since it was taken, me included. It is a funny ole' job really.

So tonight I have decided to stick with drinking faaaaarr too much and sleeping wherever I land, be it bed, couch or floor… whichever comes closest first.

It's like playing poker I guess, you never know where you will finally wake up in the morning feeling like shite.

Sleeping is over-rated anyway

Current mood: refreshed
Category: Life

Decided having a nap probably wasn't the best idea as I'd end up awake half the night out of sync, so decided that a nice soak in the bath would have to do for now.

Ohhh it was lovely. Not only am I now spotlessly clean, smell rather nice and have somewhat less hair on various limbs now but all the achy bits from the weekend have now vanished and make me want to just settle down with a bottle of red and watch a bit of telly… perfect.

Thinking about it, easiest way for me to go to sleep is put a DVD on, always knocks me right out that one. Early night it is then!

Ok, so maybe I should have updated you as to the old dishwashers fate; but alas, Sands central came home and wouldn't have a bar of it and will dispose of it in the proper way *humph* miserable cunt.

Well, I've just come back from "bonny Scotland" and the Saab/Salomon Avalanche Trophy

(Glentress near Innerleithen)

It was a bloody good laugh, not only were we up the top of a bleeding great mountain?!?!? but there was plenty to keep little arse out of mischief and tired out. Like muddying up the cars.

The only downside was the distance… by Christ is that a long ole' drive. Especially when you are driving a tatty van and not the normal ones we use… but it did mean I could fashion myself a "bedroom mezzanine level" in the back just to live in, fantastic!

So now I am, yet again, unpacking, doing my washing and trying my hardest to stem the flow of the raving munchies… so might just go fill my face and have a kip after all that energy expelled.

Planning a “night time raid”

Current mood: mischievous
Category: Life

See now this is the problem with having a clean house, clean me, & blokes away and doesn't come back until tonight. I tend to think up daring plans to dispose of what's left of the old dishwasher in the front garden.

I had intended to dismantle what's left of the old Bessie and gradually slap it in the wheelie nib bit by bit over a few weeks but after spying out the front door noticed a REALLY big skip on the grass over the road of which produced an evil grin across my face.

So tonight when said Sands central has returned and under the cover of darkness I will change into camoflage, don a balaclava and blatantly dump the fucking thing in the skip… heh heh

Now don't go getting self righteous about it all. I know the rules here and any skip on public highways is actually fair game. And to be honest they probably haven't even got the correct permit for it anyway – so feel guilty? I do not… well only a little bit seeing as I will be doing it all like a sly shite in the dark….

Such naughtiness.

Morning has broken…

Current mood: energetic
Category: Life

I'm guessing I might have been tadge 'wired' last night as I didn't manage to get to sleep until well after 2am. I would say it was due to being excited about having a new appliance, spending hours combing the house for another item to put in it to dishwash… but alas no, it wasn't that at all. It was the somewhat copious amounts of red bull equivalent I had managed to down during the day – so my own fault really. Daft bat.

Not that I'm arguing as it kept me going long enough last night to change the bed linen, tidy up the study here, sort out what needed washing and generally get the house sorted for vacuuming this morning. I suppose if I was thinking logically I could have done the ironing as that's quite a quiet competitive sport but wasn't quite that keen.

And seeing as I have just completed the whole house I will now allow myself an afternoon of pampering ones self but having a bath, sorting out ones 'yeti' eyebrows, (I must make more of an effort to keep them in check as they are ripe to scare people at the moment.) De-furring ones legs and generally making myself somewhat more girly again. Ok, maybe not quite girly as such but more 'presentable' if I'm honest.

Then I might tackle the ironing whilst watching a film.

But first a cup of tea and a shitload of biccys are in order.

Today's choice;

Bourbons - yummy

Arse update:

Current mood: accomplished

Ok so I may be soaking wet still, my house is STILL a tip but my dishes and glasses are sparkly again…

Arse is a very happy little bunny. To the extent I might stop moaning for once… but I doubt it.

Plans for the day? Yeah right.

Current mood: savage

Well so far my week has gone tits in a nice way but as with the usual Karma it's also kicked ones arse as well.

I was supposed to have Monday & Tuesday off this week, working Wednesday the off to Durham Friday for the WTCC with the simulator car thingy for Chevy. No problems there – or so it seemed….

Monday morning's intention was to insert the TV 'properly' in the bedroom; you know all the posh stuff like fixing it to the wall, putting the cables into trunking and all that guff. Also making sure that the bugger did actually work with the remote sky link thingy whatsit as well.

Then, after that I was gonna scoot round Hayley's and give her a hand painting her hallway. All sorted, done dusted and Tuesday would have been clear for tidying, packing and general faffing about.

Just at the point where tools where everywhere, a complete closet of my clothes were all dumped onto the bed (Ariel cables all go through said cupboard) and the bloody mobile rings… its work.

Hmmmmmmm

Evidently Sands Central is down working in Swindon, the flooring doesn't look too good and would I like to drive down with the plastic clip shit stuff for him. I looked around the room at everything strewn about and thought

"Yeah why the fuck not?"

So apologies to Hayley (if nothing else for not even phoning to say I had been hoiked into work) and if it makes you feel any better I still came back to a bungalow Tuesday which looked like it had been burgled. What a treat.

Was nice to get to spend some time with Sands Central though J

Now due to re-arrangement of schedule for the week, they brought forward my Wednesday morning to yesterday afternoon which was all very well and good until I did finally manage to get home only to realise I still had to finish the TV installation.

It is now, however all up and looking purdy… even attached a scart lead through to said cupboard to enable the DVD player to be utilised as well. Such a clever little girly sometimes.

Then came today…. Grrrrrr

Now it must be said that my VERY old noisy dishwasher as acquired from freecycle some 2 years ago has not been playing the game of late. Everything that goes in either comes out more dirty or has that horrible white smeary cack all over it no matter how much salt, rinse aid or tablets are in it. I even resorted to white vinegar after a bit of a Google as to how to stop it playing silly buggers but no… everything will still need to now be hand washed to get the cack off…

So being the stroppy impatient cow that I am this afternoon, did a web search and found the perfect new one to replace it in "A Generic Electrical Store" – toddled off in the car, got it and its now sitting proud as punch, running disappointingly quietly in the kitchen. How can I annoy my neighbours with one that hardly makes a peep? No fair.

So I maybe a few quid lighter in the wallet but I have once again had the privilege of dragging an appliance outside the front door and kicking ten buckets of shite out of it… just because it's a pile of shite.

Beats any sort of therapy that and I highly recommend it.
