Feeling a bit dicky…

Current mood: nauseated
Category: Life

Don't now go jumping to the wrong conclusion you dirty little buggers… Nah got a bit of a "Pizza Hut gut" and am quite reluctant to move any further than 10 feet from the bathroom at the moment.

Not that a pizza has caused me this much discomfort in the past but I can only assume it's the culprit, as it was all I ate yesterday.

It's also making me feel sick which does annoy as I really fancy a cuppa, but the thought of ingesting milk then throw's the idea right out of ones wee head and will probably have that actual effect.

So plan of action for the morning is to Imodium dose myself up if it hasn't calmed down by 10am then get on with my day like those nice people on the adverts who seem to love taking laxatives constantly.

Just 'back' (scuse the pun) from physio and that was certainly not what I was expecting. Today as well as just a bit of a neck cracking I was given some acupuncture! Wasn't expecting that bugger I can tell you!

The last time I had any "acupain" was to try to give up smoking a couple of years back. It's not bad in the slightest just a really odd sensation when they twiddle the little buggers until they "zing" (anyone who has had it will know what the bloody hell I'm on about!) But as this was technically pain relief and not just mental voodoo, here was chappie sticking pins into bits of me that bloody hurt already without turning me into a jiffling electric bloody eel!

I've had what feels like 12 electric shocks running down my arms, legs and right into my arse when he slapped two in my lower back which has also been hurting the last day or two. Wish I hadn't told him about that now!

I can only imagine that the old tattoos were probably glowing with it all!

The only downside to having any acupuncture is, it really does make you dopey afterwards, not that I'm not dopey already but this bugger has zonked me right out since I returned home again. Even to the extent I have 'put off' a social thing this afternoon to just coma myself into the sofa and sleep. Granted I had a late night last night but still shouldn't be this urrrghhhh now!

Weathers still just as shite, so much so the heating's gone back on… brrrrr

Oh well, hello sofa, brace yourself, incoming….

….I am going to miss being at TRO. It did really feel weird going in yesterday confirming to the boys I was going, and taking all of my kit back. Got some friendly good bye's, of which a couple did make me choke up a bit I must confess, and I will certainly keep in touch with some of them as they are a bunch 'manly but soppy ole' buggers' really. Bless them.

Good thing is they have said I can still come to the operator's beach party in July which should be a giggle if nothing else!

(And ironically enough I will be the only one there who doesn't have a problem getting time off to go!)

So today is physio number 2 effort of being re-aligned again… oooooowwww! but worth it and hopefully with the stretches I've been doing this week there might even be an improvement. Hopefully it will help correct my posture of which must resemble that of a Neanderthal man – to the extent it's a wonder I don't drag my knuckles along the ground sometimes.

Now as much as I would like to be doing stuff outside today the weather has decided no, as it's kin' windy, lashing it down and bleeding freezing but does save me cutting the grass I suppose J (yep still fucking HATE doing that – nothing changes)

So plan of action is probably sit on ones arse, watching a DVD until its time to go and get pulled about by a physio I guess!

Been a funny ole’ few days…

Current mood: contemplative

….in that sense of about to have your teeth pulled.

Let's just say that I am no longer seeing boy fruity due to us both agreeing it wasn't really going anywhere. Now I'm not going to say it wasn't good whilst it lasted, but being me did the usual and managed to put him off. No surprise there then. Oh well, life goes on and back to the dating game I go.

Was initially a bit miffed but have since driven off to a local beach, walked the mad mutt for an hour or so near the sea which always helps and come home again refreshed and optimistic. And why not I say.

Other than that, tomorrow I hand in my notice with TRO (for the second Monday in a row) this time they WILL accept it and I then have a weeks grace to prepare to go work for a company that's a fart in the winds distance from the other base TRO have in Norwich… should be a laugh… *gulp*

So the new company… they deal with designing and installation of electrical systems into new or refurbished buildings of which I will initially be a CAD technician for 3 months then they are going to send me to college *shudders* to train to be a project designer. Now bearing in mind I haven't done any electrical work for many years this does strike me as somewhat daunting but I figure that it will be a worthy career move and after my two meetings there so far doesn't seem like a bad place to work. Who knows I may even like it.

Fingers crossed.

And I have also made a very good start on clearing out the loft over the past few days… placing some old shite on eBay to try to make a bit of cash out of, and de-clutter in the process. That won't do any harm either, ridding me of the old shite I will never use again and getting some spondoolics for it. Might even pay for a holiday at some point….

Hmmm where should I go?

Its official

Current mood: tired
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

I have finally had to throw in the towel on the job with TRO. There are a few reasons but the main one being is it's starting to hurt me, which isn't good at all. I've managed to strain my forearms of which has once again sent me to physio and left me not being able to lift chuff all heavy. That and the fact that I've lost so much weight doesn't do me any favours either.

On the up side though, they gave me 2 weeks off to rest and recover and I have utilised it well managing to find myself another job. So come Monday I will be handing in my notice (for the second time) and having the week no 2 of rest to psych myself up to change jobs again.

It really is a shame the job didn't work out as I really do like all the people and the actual work, but there's only so much a body can take and mine cant it seems. Then there's also the fact that the wages are really not an incentive to stay either.

So yet again I will be un-employed for a whole week…. Woooo scary stuff… NOT

Will update more next week with what the hell's happening….

Bloody technology.

Current mood: discontent

Seems my mobile network has been playing silly buggers over the last 24 hours. Messages I have sent out at 6pm are getting to the recipient, waking them up in the middle of the night. Not good. It also is making me wonder if I am getting my messages when they were sent or at some random bloody time instead, if I am getting them at all that is. O2 is fucking useless.

Other than that, chav fest was, overall a complete nightmare. The drive down in Nel went fine, had a bit of a "moment" when I started to think the sat nav was telling me lies but appeared at Santa Pod 5 mins after they had locked the gates and do you think they would let me in? Would they fuck. Set up home outside for the night instead.

The actual event was as expected… lots of rather odd looking people drooling over the VXR8 we had on the plot and their 'interesting' wives/girlfriends trotting along behind them with faces like smacked arses – bless 'em.

Then there were a few run in's with myself and the project manager who was working there with us as well. It really did dishearten me about the job and thinking I might just jack it in and do something else. Fortunately the other operators I have spoken to since have told me this chap in question is a complete pain in the proverbial and to stick it out as he won't be on every job I do in the future.(thank Christ)

Came home Monday afternoon, spent yesterday sorting the stuff we brought back and today is my one day off this week. Bloody knackered still, keep coming home with so many bruises I look like I've had ten buckets of fuck kicked out of me and in need of a cuddle.

Right time to clean the house!
