Time for a 'friend reshuffle' me thinks

I can only assume that emit some sort of pheromone of which makes some of my so called friends see me with a big neon sign just above my head with "utter twat" flashing merrily away.

The 'friend' in question is a very selfish, tight bint who seems to have no quarms or awareness of just how bloody cheeky and melodramatic she can be. This and the fact she managed to really annoy the living biscuit out of me a couple of weeks back.
Because of this, I have made a point of not contacting her since then, until yesterday.
She had rang the evening before and knowing it was her I ignored it.

Then last night around half seven decided I would return her call and prepared myself for the hour long conversation which would consist of the "me me me" type conversation.
Luckily for me, she didn't answer - bonus!

Right, now I have pet peeves as does everyone, but I would like to think my parents raised me very well, of which manners and common courtesy being a main part in this.
One of those things being, not telephoning anyone between 9pm and 9am mainly because I think that is intrusive and rude. Which also would be the case of how I would like my friends to also have this common sense and logic in return. Not with this one it doesn't.

Bearing in mind said friend is aware of the fact that 'he' always stays over on a Wednesday night and because of his job gets up at silly o'clock I was most annoyed to receive a text at 23:00 asking if I was still awake.

Now knowing by answering this, it would just open a world of pain of her life troubles, woes and melodramatic ranting of which this woman is famous for, Ignored it and turned the sound down on the mobile.
(I'm such a good friend - lol)

So imagine my utter delight when at 01:05 she rings the house phone, waking the both of us up. I was bloody fuming. Did I answer it? Did I hell.

Nope, I really don't care what traumatic whoohaar was happening in her world at this time of the morning. I have imagined many things since getting up of which she would deem 'worthy' of her ringing me as such an ungodly hour and all involve her either drinking heavily, doing something catastrophically idiotic or something of which I would just once again get dragged into to bail her sorry arse out of and do you know what? I really cant be bothered with it all.
At 34 it's about time she started to figure out how to sort her own bloody life out.

This might sound harsh, uncaring or even selfish but those three words describe her perfectly so about time the favour was returned.

Ohhhh, It's all go!

I'm not sure what has been more nutty this week so far. It could be the fact I sold loads of tat on ebay yesterday of which, for once, pretty much everyone paid for it straight away and I was forced to toddle off to various post offices with arms laden down with bags of tat instead of being able to do it in a few trips on different days. Or could it have been the fact that My mother, realising I will be going back to work as of Friday has attacked me with a list as long as your arm of stuff to get done whilst I still have the time. Who knows!

On the plus side, ebay came good and I now finally have some more money to play with until first pay day kicks in for the new firm, also the fact that the concern as to if I was going to run out of toilet roll before I was desolate has now been drastically reduced :S

Frog update... nothing to report so far. The little buggers are still camping out quite happily in the hole in the wall and shunning my new pond. Gawd knows if I catch one of the little shits and get the opportunity to grab them and lob them in the pond.

I also this week had the Jobseekers meeting at stupid time of day (16:20) and being me, thought, seeing as this would be the last time I ever go in there would have a giggle and do a bit of 'people watching'. Arrived about 45 minutes early and sat down waiting to be called (well it was cool in there after all).
Every conceivable different variety of person came and went, leaving me giggling to myself as to just how sane I could call myself to some of these people. I would now say "no disrespect intended" but 80 percent of these people were as think as shit judging by the fact I could overhear every single "interview", so I will just stick with saying "Bless them" in the most patronising voice I can come up with.

Other than that I'm feeling positively more chipper than I have in a long while. Maybe its the nice weather, the fact I have actually planned to go and do something Sunday which I have wanted to do for ages or maybe it's just the realisation that life is actually rather good at the moment and nothing will get me down.

Whatever it may be, keep it coming ;)

There's a storm 'a brewin'

I have some very odd things about me, of which most people find down right strange. One of which being my ability to be able to predict a thunder storm.

Now I'm not talking 'walking weather guru' here, just the fact that whenever the pressure outside is fluctuating be it from high to low or visa versa my head just seems to be able to turn itself into the worlds greatest pressure cooker - with the nice whistling gadget festooned on the top.

Today is one of those days. The fact that my head has now gone into overdrive can only mean one thing. In about 2-3 hours there is going to be a right royal humdinger of a one.

Quite nice really because as soon as the storm has been, gone and toddled right off, one's head quite happily slips back into 'normal service will be resumed as soon as possible' mode.

I did once question my doctor about such headaches and if was there any way I could actually counteract them or stop it happening.

He looked at me as though I had just cut my own head off right there in front of him.

I'm guessing I'm stuck with it then...

Oh dear,

Guilty m'lud. I have found a red wine that doesn't disagree with me. Unfortunately this means that this evening I have already downed half a bottle of the stuff and am yes, a tadge tiddly.

There is an advantage to this fact though I have realised. When it managed a temperature outside that even I was uncomfortable in I retreated inside with the joys of air conditioning and made the effort to get this place somewhat more spick and span than it has been for a week or two.

Tidied, cleaned and did the hoovering leaving a handful of things to just finish off before cooking tea realising that I would be sloshed enough by then to not want to do any more after that and settle in with a good book for a while.

Th good part about this wine it seems is it's urged me into getting off my arse and finishing said chores, meaning tomorrow morning I will be surprised to find that I did actually finish cleaning the kitchen, empty the dishwasher and wipe over the floor.
Who would have thought wine could make you that little bit more... well house proud?

Might just have to buy some more of this magic juice....

Ironic? I should say so.

Summer in the UK has once again proved itself to be imaginary so far this 2008. Nothing new for here and one reason why us Brits tend to moan like buggery about it all the time. It's in our breeding I'm afraid.

Well just to prove that there is karma in this funny old world, I think you can safely say the reason for the current heatwave we are now experiencing is entirely all my fault.

I am a keen but quite useless gardener. I have started to grow all sorts from veg to flowers you name it, I will have had a go and in the last year have made a ditch effort to get the garden into some reasonable state by erecting a greenhouse I was given 4 years ago which has been sitting at the bottom of the garden breaking through the entirety, build raised veggie patches and tidied it up to a degree even I was happy with.

During the past, one of my somewhat numpty ex men decided that he would try boring a hole at the bottom of the garden for water, with the intention of pumping it up to use on the garden. Heart was in the right place but considering I live at the top of a valley lets just say I sat back and let him try because whilst he's doing that he's not bothering me.

Oddly he gave up after about 3 days 8 feet and the hole was never mentioned again... Not a problem there but after hoofing said numpty out I then had to start re-filling said hole with various amounts of crap found around the garden just to get it back up to floor level again. I resorted to laying a slab over the thing to stop ones rather stupid dog falling down it and gradually filled it up as and when i was sorting out the garden. This was until about 3 weeks ago. I did the usual and moved the slab to cut the lawn and happen to notice 3 frogs and one toad all stuck down the bottom of what was now a 2 foot hole not looking very happy at all.

I fished them all out, placing them in the hedge at the bottom of the garden then gave the frogs a good watering to recover...

I obviously felt guilty because now, a few weeks down the line, I have been a good girl and dug in a pond for said frogs with all the trimmings, lilies in it, big chunks of log to hide under etc etc.

I was lucky enough to be quite savvy when it comes to collecting rainwater in the garden for my veggies etc and have 3 wheelie bins converted into water butts. This was plenty enough water to fill the new pond and I must say I was very impressed with my efforts. However this is where the karma bit kicks my arse as i have chuff all rain water stored to water the veggies. Bugger.

So its been in a week, and every day I have been down to check to see if the local frog population had started to mass migrate into their new home. Not one chuffing sighting as yet. Hmmmm

I have even resorted to hunting the other bits of the garden to find at least one of the little buggers to throw in and be able to say "Now bloody appreciate it!"

Today however I found out where they are all hiding... crafty little sods that they are.
Seems they have taken to a little hole in the wall at the rear of the property with is damp and perfect for, well frogs I suppose... Just need to come up with a cunning plan on how to evict them down into the pond.

Liars, tell it like it isn't

I seem to be managing to hide away from the world very well at the moment. Obviously I do have conversations with people during the day... Currently they are the obligatory calls from the "we are not really having a relationship" chap which make me laugh, the visits from the irritating 12 year old from over the road, who is bored shitless because there are no other kids living out here in the arse end of nowhere - well no kids that would want to talk to 'her' anyway. Then there is the usual phone calls from telesales trying their hardest to sell me the latest ear fluff extraction device.

Unfortunately for these sales people, with me having a weeny little bit too much time on my hands of late I do have a tendency to lie through my teeth giving the excited "ohhhhh that sounds good" and "how could I possibly live without that?" type comments, only to scupper them when they ask for bank details or credit card number saying that I am not allowed to have a bank account in the mental home, but thanks for asking.

Oh and then there are the random people all over the world who I talk to via a well known messenger telephone system. I'm not talking about people I actually know or have met here, I really do mean random people who seem to find me and want to tell me their life story. Currently I am chatting to a dirty old man in Perth who has recently lost his wife. Seems to be a nice enough chap but we all know that at some point the urge to ask me to send a photo of my arse in scantily clad pair of Grundy whites will appear soon and the conversations will end.

Don't get me wrong I AM a mucky tart and there are photos of my arse spread over the internet yes, however unless someone has the savvy to put said arse to ones face then no can do matey boy...

So what have I actually achieved today? Not much by most's standards, but did manage to AutoCAD up a drawing of my home, then re-design it should the day ever come when I win the lottery... Have to dream now don't we?

And after the glorious day of sunshine we have had here its just started to rain. Summer rain is fantastic and I had to just go and stand out in it.

That will be why I have no bank account then...

Mood swing – all thanks to one phone call with a short gusset.

Current mood: breezy
Category: Life

Evidently the short one has slapped me so far on the back burner since it all finished that even doing what he say's he will doesn't even count these days.

Now don't you all start to think I have gone completely soft lending this two faced shit cash, as he was at the time in dire straights due to waiting for the new jobs wages to come in.

Now being me, and knowing his first payday with the new company was going to be the 20th, sent a text with final amount now owed and dropped a hint that he needed to hurry up paying it back as I was about to get stung overdraught fees (thanks to him). He rang up stating the new company had paid his wages into the wrong account number and he wouldn't be getting it until Monday. Great. So Friday sent another one about something else and he rings again and this time I get told that he has actually been paid now and he'd get the money to me Saturday.

No surprises he never turned up yesterday and finally had the gawl to ring this evening with a fucking computer problem. First words to come out of my mouth were "yes, no problem but it will cost you £211"

Got a 'oh, well I was going to get that to you Monday' So I explained I was now going to be charged £40 in overdraught fees thanks to him and had he kept his word I could have paid it in Saturday.

Evidently he has lent his car out again… I'm guessing it will be to his ex wife who has very kindly, since she slung him out announced she is £12,000 in debt most of which dipshit short arse has decided to take on for her knowing full well her Daddy would have bailed her out as per usual anyway.

Lets just say, with all of that nice info which kept slipping out every time he was round here I for one am absolutely fucking over the moon I hoofed this little gusset out.

Are you impressed? I am as this time I didn't even let the twat move in before I realised what a complete arse he was.

I am learning! Hah!

And the mood that nice little phone call put me in has vanished now… cant beat a good blog rant to get shit like that out of your system now can you?

A phone call saved me today.

Two weeks ago I had to do something I never imagined myself doing. I needed to bite the bullet get my arse down to the job centre and sign on for Job Seekers Allowance. Urgh.

It's not like I haven't been looking for a job, I have been to many an interview all of which seemed to be very rude and not bother to even call to say that I was unsuccessful in my application. This I can cope with day after day, the job centre however is a different experience entirely.

If its not bad enough you have to wade through masses of tracksuits, Argos jewellery and pushchairs just to even get to someone who works there... when you do finally get to your 'advisor' she's wearing something I can only assume has been purchased by an elderly relative, has the brightest blue eye shadow spread in a random sort of a wave above each eye including various other bits of face and a thick black eye-liner strip which if I am honest looks like she might have been trying to put it on someone else, inadvertently getting herself by accident.
It didn't install me with any confidence.

After about an hour trying to explain my past work history to said lass, then her explaining to me that I should only be applying for jobs within my experience range (err OK, then so I cant just apply for anything because I actually need a job) I pretty much lost the will to live and needed to switch off brain to enable enough energy to get the hell out of there again.

Getting back to the point, the phone call I just made was telling said job centre That I have now found a job and will need to stop the claim going through as from August 4th. The bad news is I still have to go in for my 'attendance' meeting on the 29th of July which is a bit of a sod.
However, knowing it will be the last time I will have to challenge the weird world which is known as "the benefits club". Nope, that's one club I would rather break my ankles to avoid thanks.

In the beginning....

...there was light, but some inconsiderate tosser turned off the switch, pulled out the cables and rewired the house incorrectly at the beginning of 2008, which has made the subsequent last few months a bit of a bind, all told.

On the plus side, things do now seem to be starting to make the slow turn into the 'road to recovery' and hopefully the vehicle on said road wont be a pile of shit like a Nissan sodding Micra.

With this in mind I am turning to a 'new' and 'fresh' trusty blog here on 'blogger' to try to save me some ridiculous amount of money I don't have on a therapist, who in all fairness I would just abuse being of the belief that these people are just on this planet to make me look a complete twat. Obviously I am very capable of making myself look a complete twat without any outside help thank you very much.

So what has improved? Well after spending two months unemployed I have been just this week offered a position with a rather large multi national company. Not a highly paid job and lets just say you don't need to be a sodding genius to do it either but its enough money to pay the bills and gives me all the time in the world to actually find a job out there that I want to do, not 'have' to.

I have also made the amazing feat for me, signed up for a photography course of which the chance to do something that I really love does appeal.

So that's it so far... 2008 has been a complete git, what with my Dad passing away, my dog now ill and not likely to last too much longer and the job front which was in all honestly just a bad decision on my part due to all the stress.

Well, it cant get any sodding worse... if nothing else - because I wont bloody let it.

Nothings working….

Current mood: contemplative

Evidently Myspace has been playing silly buggers of late. I'm not getting any reminders for blogs or stuff which means (me being me and rather forgetful) have been missing out on such stuff as nuttie Jeanie nearly being burnt to a crisp… This is, quite frankly not on.

Hopefully this will get sorted soon but being Myspace, I'm not going to count my chickens.

On the plus side of life – I have now been accepted with the Royal mail as a casual postie (gave up waiting for them to call me and rang them instead) so the official start date is August 4th.

This I would like to point out is not a career goal of life aspiration just a bill paying exercise which will save me from the jobcentre gang giving me time to keep job hunting until something I really fancy doing appears. Also it gives me time to sit down and really concentrate on my online course I have just taken on as well.

Another exciting development is I will be toddling off down to London on August the 3rd for the Red bull air race and really can't wait!

Maybe life has decided to turn for me… or could it be just the fact that I have decided to not let all the negative shite get to me now and just concentrate on the good stuff for a change. Whatever it is, keep it coming :)

Being angry “gets things done”

Current mood: tested

That is of course assuming you actually wanted a pond in the first place… And on this occasion, I actually did.

That's the nice thing about people pissing you about, getting you down or pretty much treating you like a complete cunt. It gets the old 'productive' juices going and then out of nothing, something appears.

So I now have a wildlife pond (didn't want one with fish as just this morning fished half of one out of mumsie Banks' pond of which the local fox had been munching on quite prolifically.) well that and fish mean effort… sod that, I just want a bit of wet stuff in the garden.

There were a handful of reasons why I wanted a pond.

  1. I am getting bloody fed up chasing frogs down the lawn whilst in hot pursuit with a bright yellow petrol mower which could quite easily chop them into itty bitty pieces as quick as a flash, however good point it would distribute said pieces very evenly across said lawn…
  2. I really would like to try to attract some wildlife to the garden to photograph if possible.
  3. Even though it wasn't going to be a massive pond, it would after all still be slightly less lawn to actually cut… cunning eh?
  4. I felt guilty after finding 3 frogs and one toad half dead down a pit of which I should have filled up ages ago to stop such slimy carnage. (Would like to point out they did all survive after me fishing them out)

So, with all those reasons and an anger that could be placed along the lines of "Myra Hindley with PMT" I set about digging it out Saturday morning.

With said hole in the ground sorted then sodded off to the local cheap arse big store down the road to get a 'proper' liner but also intended to go on freecycle and ask anyone for some big pieces of plastic of which I could use as a double whammy layer just in case.

I was in luck, a woman who lives just round the corner from mum emails me saying she has just the bit of plastic I desire so we arranged for me to pick it up Sunday Morning around 11. Perfect, then gave me the rest of the day to get the bugger in, done and dusted. Bob's your uncle and all that bollocks.

I happened to mention this to Mum seeing as I would be popping to hers in the process and was soooooooo delighted to find out that the woman in question she knew from her local volunteer group and she was a complete nutter, got on everyone's tits and was as mum put it 'quite useless and full of shit' Juuuuust great.

Sunday arrives, and just as I am about to toddle off to go collect it I get an email saying she had asked for a lawn mower and would there be any chance of giving her a lift at the same time to pick it up… here we go I thought. Being the good Samaritan and thinking I cant really say no, seeing as she is after all giving me some plastic (and I just re-checked her email she also offered some plants for it as well) went round and took the woman to get her mower. Ok that was the easy part.

When it came to the plastic sheet well that was another story. Now if I freecycle anything the item is out, clean packed up ready for the person to take away there and then at the arranged date/time. None of this pissing about lark as to be honest I'm not a sociable person and I want them the fuck away from me quick smart.

The first line I get is; "the plastic is in the small loft space over my bathroom" FFS.

So up I go, like a chip with the aid of a crap kitchen chair into the smallest loft space I have ever seen in my life. Wiggled around and you've guessed it – not a hint of plastic.

"Hmmm" she says, "maybe it's in the main loft" Here we go again… Up into the main loft where (like the rest of the house) its is piled high with utter crap. We spent 20 mins looking for it but to no avail, just couldn't find it.

So I had been in the company of this woman now for an hour, had lost the will to live – even hung on whilst she was looking in the shed in case it had been put in there standing next to her pond thinking "well at least I might get some plants out of it"

Not a fucking chance. I hinted as subtly as I could without offending the woman but to be honest she was evidently as thick as shit so just gave up in the end.

Went back to mum's with her look of "I told you so" we all know and love, told her I am on the verge of killing and she might just want to keep out the way.

But, bless her she came up with a solution to another thing which might be problematic which would be the liner layer to protect the underside of the liner from getting punctured from stones and such like, which was she had an old rug in her loft which came out of the living room which would be perfect for such a job and did I want it?

Yay!

So, toddled home, lined hole with a rug, then a liner… had enough water in the butts in the garden to fill the bugger and today went round to Mumsie's once again and pinched a shitload of her pond plants.

So now I have a pond, I am not angry in the slightest and haven't seen one fucking frog in the bastard yet… I can see it now, the next time I try to cut the grass they will still be right in front of me a fag paper away from getting blended but at least get to escape from the mower by the time they get to the bottom of the garden.

By christ do I need to get a job.

Mental case (warning! A long ole’ bugger this)

Current mood: irritated

It has become apparent to me that other friends I have of the same age are, well to be polite complete basket cases who, if I am really honest need to be locked up and sedated.

I refer to in this case to my friend Hayley

(Or as she's known to me 'scaly')

Hayley turned 34 Tuesday and due to general stresses of life was moving flats the Saturday after. Being in finance, Hayley is as tight as a gnats chuff. In fact she makes even me look flamboyant with my cash. She was evicted from her last flat because it has a real damp problem. She had after two years of moaning about the bloody place finally complained to the landlord agency (it's rented) and they had given her the months notice, as they would.

This bloody flat had no heating and used to make me feel sick after being in there. When she said she was going to have to move I was rather pleased, knowing I wouldn't have to listen to the incessant whinging about how bad her skin was all the time. (She has bad psoriasis hence 'scaly' – mean I know but true) so all the spores from the damp and mould really did cause lots of problems.

The new flat which was just down the road was ideal, a two bedroom instead of one, 2nd floor and so light and airy. Best of all, dry as a bone and not a chance of being damp. Thank fuck for that.

Getting back to 'tight as a gnats chuff' Hayley, she had roped in a gaggle of friends to help her actually move the Saturday. All very well and good but due to my current lack of work I was also dragged in to help on the Friday as well… urgh.

Just spending the day moving the kitchen with her ladyship staying inside to unpack everything was setting the president of what the Saturday was going to be like.

We finally finished around 4pm, everyone else fucking knackered from having gone up and down the stairs all day and once again miss cheeky staying there to unpack as it came in. One good thing was the shower worked in the new flat so at least I got to use the shower before we got ready to go out for her birthday meal.

So then we come to the meal & rest of the night out. Obviously because of my living out in the arse end of nowhere if on the occasion Hayley and I do go out I tend to sleep on her somewhat uncomfortable bloody couch… Not this time, I was prepared with bedroll, sleeping bag and enough stuff to keep me comfy and chipper all night long. Not that I got to use it….more to come.

The meal was as it happens very nice, not too expensive (bearing in mind I have no money at the moment having to be a tadge careful) After this we toddled off to the Murderers for the rest of the evening.

All well and good, until at about 11pm due to the amount of alcohol that this bloody woman had consumed she turned into a blahing nightmare. Talking utter bollocks and pretty much annoying everyone who got anywhere near her. This wasn't to much of a bother to me as to be honest as long as I knew she didn't drink much more, I'd get her back to the new flat, settle her in by basically pushing her into her bedroom and shutting the door and toddling into ones nice comfy sleeping bad… not a bloody chance.

She drank more (stupid me at this point, I should have paid attention and stopped her). Then at midnight when her other friends – most of which I had only just met that day apart from Neil who I also used to work with, decided to call it a night and get a cab home. At this point we were not going to be sharing a cab but after trying to walk this 'thing' down the road, her nearly getting herself attacked on Castle meadow and generally spending more time on the floor than on her feet I was bloody glad we did catch up with them and managed to get the drunken bird in as well.

After the cab had dropped everyone else off (much to Hayley's disgust as 'apparently' she always gets dropped off first.) then her telling the cabbie directions which wouldn't have been quite so bad but left and right's were not a strong point by now… we finally arrived at the flat. Now at this point Hayley had decided she, once inside was going to open up the bottle of champagne she had inside… Hmmm I think not. Not that this was a problem in any way shape or form as in her drunken state back in the pub, she had managed to empty the entire contents of her handbag on the floor (including house keys) of which I had picked up and put in my pocket by then.

She decided to run up the two flights of stairs so as to make sure she got to the champers first and fell flat on her face right near the top…

Now you would think this would be the last part of the tale… but alas no such luck.

Once inside she then decided to strip down to her top and undies and start climbing over all of the furniture announcing that she was doing her exercises and if she didn't do them her feet would fall off.

And talk utter bollocks? Jesus Christ even her poor fucking cat was getting bored with her at this point.

She finally gave up with the fucking about and went to bed at 04:30 and by Christ was I tired. Then just to really make my day she woke up at 08:00 making as much noise as an elephant on speed then promptly whinged like a cunt at the hangover she had. That will serve you right there lady muck.

I don't know what annoyed me more, the utter embarrassment she caused, her ability at 34 to not be able to handle her drink or the fact that on two occasions trying to get her to the cab she walked out into the road nearly getting hit by a car. It just hurt my head trying to stop her just getting squished.

The sick part is she has no idea what it is she got up to that evening and I for one will not be sharing this information with her either. But one thing I do have up my sleeve for future blackmail should the need ever arise… I have two video clips of her when poncing about the flat. One where she's doing so called exercises nearly breaking her fucking neck in the process falling off the coffee table and the second, which is a doozy, her accusing her family of abusing her when in the next sentence stating they have never done anything to her. Oh that will be kept for a special occasion that one.

I can only assume that even I (who was thinking of late was quite the basket case myself) am positively quite sane compared to this one and I will be restricting my visits round to see our scaly until I feel I wont just put her on her arse.

So if this makes me an old fart – so be it.

So what else has been happening in the world of Arse?

Yep, I am currently still jobless and have had to sign on for the dole… Not happy about that at all, especially as the woman who is my 'advisor' really does take the biscuit. I'm pretty sure that is exactly why they have these people in these positions as it drives you so mental you just want to go and get a job within 5 mins of walking out the door from the interview. I lost the will to live yesterday going through that and will hopefully have a job again before I have to go back into the tracksuit clad, Argos jewellery wearing pushchair clan of which I now so despise. ARRRRRRHHHHH!

Other than that I'm quite well thanks!

No piccys today as i really just cannot be arsed!

The body & mind is a wonderful thing ?!?!?

Current mood: blustery
Category: Life

....

.. ..

After my first week ever of doing nights I think we can safely say that by yesterday evening I was completely knackered. In fact I would go so far as to say utterly Ronnied but I think Ronnie would complain.....

.. ..

Driving itself is tiring and the only saving grace was the fact the truck was huge so needed to be on the ball the entire time – keeping one awake throughout. I did love driving it though; getting some truck work under my belt was a godsend. ....

....

Also the fact that dawg has been staying with Mum during the week to allow me to sleep when returning each morning had annoyed me. I miss her when she's not here as it's too quiet – so having brought her home again yesterday was much better. All the hustle and bustle is back and home is once again home.....

.. ..

Last night you would think I would struggle to get to sleep seeing that by 9pm I would have normally been toddling past Cambridge but no, I was tucked up in bed, a good 3 glasses of wine under my belt for good measure and waiting for that inevitable 'twiddling of thumbs' when my brain would still be in work mode but body buggered.....

.. ..

Not a jot. I went out like a stone, so much so the TV was on all night, and the fan, as it was warm and I didn't wake up until 9am this morning… get in! Pretty much 12 hours straight of sleep and by Christ did I need it.....

.. ..

But the thing I hadn't accounted for during my 12 hours of shut eye which hasn't happened for months now and quite frankly was quite enlightening was yet another weird dream with bloody James May in it… FFS!....

The scary thing is, I can remember every bleeding detail so clearly which included driving around in an old convertible Mercedes, going to some sort of family party where there were a whole chunk of peeps trying to get me to baby-sit their kids (and promptly got told to get stuffed) and going for a walk over what looked like Richmond Park ?!?!?....

.. ..

Dear god, what have I been doing to my brain? ....

No more nights for me then!
