Well I’ll go shit in a bucket….

You would never guess the seasons kicked in good and proper at all!!! *smirk*

Tomorrow it all starts with toddling off down to Millbrook for a two overnighter motorshow thing?!?! Dropping off stuff to someone already set up there with a unit. Doing a bit of event duty then back home late Thursday night. Not bad until you hit the weekends efforts. Saturday I toddle up to Edinburgh for the marathon. Nothing amazing about that, however Sunday I then get to drive all the way down to Shepton Mallet which is just past Bristol… bit of a jaunt!!

As for when I will be coming home, who knows, as schedule only goes up to Sunday.

This does prove to be quite advantageous to boy fruity me being away. My incredibly annoying snoring is causing a problem; in particular last night when even after not drinking I kept the poor sod awake most of the night. This has two effects, 1. I feel exceptionally guilty and 2. He will no doubt have the worst day today due to lack of a decent nights sleep – which I defiantly do not want in any way shape or form. Past relationships have suffered due to this so it needs to be sorted quick smart.

Hence, I've ordered some sort of contraption using the wonders of Google which should pull my lower jaw forward and aid to stop the flabby tissues of my throat vibrating like a 747 going through the room when asleep. I have tried sprays and other such stuff before which does seem to help a bit but not enough.

Fingers crossed a decent nights sleep will beckon him soon and if nothing else he will be able to laugh at me looking very daft in it!

So much for my week off

Current mood: contemplative
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

I've been asked to go in today, to prep 'something' drive it down to Luton put it up in a shopping centre then toddle back home again… hmmm the intrigue. Then have the privilege to drive down again Sunday, take it down and bring it back. Can't be bad, Coffers coming into the bank are always a good sign for paying bills and such like I suppose!

Now, because I have not been in this week I only get to hear next weeks schedule via phone on a Thursday (hence the call yesterday) Which does tend to make it somewhat vague as to what it is… oh well, will find out at 10 when I have to be in.

At least I still have Saturday off.

Bloody vandals…

Current mood: chipper
Category: Life

Well the gate didn't last long. Now there was a 'catch spot' on the bottom of the closing bit which after time and the help of gravity would drop and slot into place perfectly. This wasn't helped by the copious amounts of rain that also arrived swelling the bloody thing up like a sponge, bugger. Then there has been a ham fisted visitor to my house who has inadvertently decided to slam the bollocks out of it to try to shut it and twanged off part of the fence panel next to it and raunch off the bloody catch as well.

So this morning before it started to rain I took the gate off waddled down to the shed with it, cut about a centimetre off each side for REALLY good measure and painted the exposed bits before it was placed perfectly back onto the posts fitting a treat.

Well at least it's done now I guess. Let's see the bastards break it this time eh?

Also popped down to the Range to get some honeysuckle plants to start growing up the big hedge I killed off at the bottom of the garden. (Wont be cutting that hedge any more J heh heh)

Other than that I have big sister travelling back from holiday so will be picking her and Tom up from the airport in an hour or two so they can pick up Moose the dawg currently staying at "grandparent day-care".

And just in case life wasn't hectic enough, my knee has started to flare up again, this time with quite an impressive lump which does look quite yucky. So seeing as the last conversation with the hospital was "if you want surgery on it just get in touch" hmmm still not really that keen on that so have booked in with Fran the physio again tomorrow as her infra red and sonic wave stuff does seem to do it good – even if I will have to pay for the bugger this time L

So time for a shower after garden toddling today then off to the airport…

Guilty as charged….

Yes, it must be said I have been neglecting a few things of late. One of which is my blog, which to be honest wouldn't be the end of the world now would it?

One of the other things I have deliberately not mentioned is the fact that I am smoking again. Main reasons for not mentioning it would be chances are Widge who has also been very quiet about the whole subject has probably also fallen off said band wagon, so I wont go on too much. Other reason being boy fruity isn't impressed and to be honest I don't blame him. My lack of self control is pathetic sometimes. So the chap and I have come up with a plan, of which I am not going to go into details of but is a way of hopefully encouraging me to actually give up good and proper. Will keep you updated as to what where when and why when I feel like it.

So what other exciting stuff has been happening in "Arse Towers" on the last week? Well nothing actually, as I haven't been here. Spent the last few days at fruity's prepping his living room for decorating, sanding then painting woodwork and such the like which is looking rather dapper already.

So this evening I will be doing nowt but splodging ones arse in front of the TV and having an early night, in those immortal words of L'Oreal "because I'm worth it"

Talk about productive!

Current mood: accomplished
Category: Life

I have amazed even myself today. Plan of action being; needing to put up the fence & gate near the front of the bungalow so as to secure said wandering black lab from going into the unknown.

First things first, did a CAD design of the gate I was going to build so as to calculate exactly how much wood I would need to purchase, then toddled off to Wickes to get it all.

Being Wickes, they only did really odd lengths all of which meant I would spend an extortionate amount and have shitloads of off cuts…bugger that for a packet of peanuts. Spied a complete gate kit for less than the amount of said wood which was, granted too long but nothing my trusty circular saw wouldn't sort out.

Toddled back home and started to put it all together. Cut down gate went up fine and dandy and then only had the two mini sized fence panels to 'construct' and install. Finished all that late afternoon and decided that I should really make a start on painting the lot to the distinctive green that is all the other fencing round my humble abode. Evidently I have just come in after painting a good two thirds of it and the only reason I came in was because it was dark and I couldn't see chuff all.

Its starting to scare me just how productive I am becoming with my new lease of life, what with the job, the chap boy fruity and my amazing fitness I seem to have acquired. I also seem to be more daring with things – a chainsaw, not batting an eyelid to using my circular saw these days and that used to scare the living daylights out of me and other general tat.

Who knows what I will manage to do tomorrow? (Well, after finishing the painting of course!

Time for a well earned voddy then bed.

And finally I get some days off….

Current mood: exhausted

Due to a slight technical error and me being a grabbing bastard I have just finished a 9 day straight work chunk. Oddly enough it wasn't until I realised this morning how long I had been working for did it actually hit me. Opps. Not that it's a problem as I haven't been driving a tachograph vehicle at all so driving hours are not effected. Handy that.

And I have also now been scheduled my work for next week and seems thanks to my efforts and hard work they want me in for Tuesday – Thursday which cant be bad considering I was expecting fuck all for two weeks whilst they tried to find a job for me. Seems pulling your weight, be it in stores of the workshop pays dividends there which is all money coming in. Superb stuff.

So now I have three whole days to play with which includes the Bank Holiday – bonus! And what have I got planned? Well due to boy fruity being away for a few days I will be putting up the new fence and gate to contain the hooligan Labrador, now the driveways finished (thanks Clarky for finishing that over last w/end) Then I may even consider getting the alarm installed on the house which has been sitting in its box for 8 months… lazy tart that I am.

The good news is since starting the job I have already started to lose weight and build some muscles which have not been used for many a year as I am finding things I couldn't do on the assessment day I can do now. Also the ability to swing round on stuff with upper body strength has helped as well. There are downsides though. My hands are certainly not "women's hands" any more. They have cuts all over them and they have an ingrained grubbiness to them which will only be sorted by taking a pumice stone to them… as for my nails… long (ish) they still are but filled with everything from grease to paint. Good stuff :) an evening picking out the crap with a knife in front of the telly is in order me thinks.

Right had my voddy of the night and am now going to crash out for a well earned early night and a good long sleep in tomorrow morning – I would say anyone who attempts to ring me in the morning will get the short sharp shrift of my tongue but I'm unplugging phones so as not to be disturbed J that'll fuck'em

Home, tired and grinning from ear to ear

Current mood: happy
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

Ok so we actually returned yesterday but then there is all the fun of unpacking the trucks and cleaning the unit again for its next trip. A day in the yard… good 'o'

So technically that should be it for a couple of weeks as I know they are struggling to schedule any work for me – however they have found me some stuff to do tomorrow so another days pay… cant be bad.

As for Hellrunner, it was a great laugh. The whole sleeping in a truck, peeing in a field and blagging everything from a free shower in the forestry staff compound to getting jet wash tokens to wash down cars… I'm very good at it that it seems.

Evidently I am covered in cuts and scrapes, my legs ache but I am truly feeling refreshed by it all. I think TRO will do me a lot of good.

Then there was the bonus of coming back and seeing boy fruity again – topped it all off really. J

So my two weeks off I have many things I do want to do but will have to plan it around Mumsie Banks and her amazing list of things she wants to do whilst I will be about… cant blame her really though.

So a soak in the bath is in order for tonight then some tea… bath needed much more than food right now as it has been a hot ole' day here and I know women don't sweat, they perspire – well in that case I perspire buckets. Not nice.
