Christmas – pah.

Current mood: argumentative
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Yep, once again with age I have been getting grumpier than ever. Not only did I dutifully spend time with family over crimbo (not as much as planned it seems though) And I also managed to annoy pretty much everyone with my moodiness of which in turn made them all realise exactly how much I bloody hate the whole bollocks of Christmas.

It just really miffs me with the whole commercial tat, the "thou shall do this" attitude from my family and the fact that everyone wants to go sodding shopping in the sales now and I think I can safely say I would rather stab myself in the eyes with a blunt pencil than be around 'those' kind of people.

Ok don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bargain being a tight arse myself but the place is fucking manic with people wide eyed desperate to get the one item you have in your hand…just because YOU have it and not them. Fuck that for a packet of peanuts.

Then (just in case you thought that was all I have to moan about) there is the whole "what are you doing to celebrate new years?" Oh piss off will you? I don't do people, be it anything and everyone. As I have said many times before, I'm not prejudice – I hate every cunt and if you think I want to be spending my time with a bunch of people who evidently can't handle their drink slobbering over anything with a pulse at midnight… I don't think so.

So there ya go, 2008 for me will be a grumpy miserable sodding affair….and the best part?

That's exactly how I like it.

It’s Christmas morning, and all through the house…

Current mood: bored
Category: Life

…nothing is stirring; it's as quiet as a ….heffing great black Labrador stomping about wondering what all the fuss was about.

Yep, fired up the old laptop at mumsie's so at least this little internet addict won't be going without for at least one day. (Well going without this anyway)

That's the joy of being an early riser I suppose. The ability to sleep in seems to be something which has passed me by through life but does make it a complete shite when, like now I am sitting here bored shitless waiting for the day to commence.

Good news is I don't have a hangover, feel positively quite chipper and because of sleeping on the couch here I have to wait until everyone's up before I can even contemplate using a bedroom to have a shower and get dressed. Oh well – maybe I just won't bother getting dressed then!

Come on banks family… show a bit of effort please?

Slight change of plan….

Current mood: accomplished
Category: Life

I blame TopGear and my terrible addiction to nookie myself J

The intention was all there, must be said that I was going to stay over at mum & Dads last night and start the festivities… opps, that didn't quite work.

In a way it's done me the world of good. Not only have I managed to get most of the house clean now and hijack the monstrous washing pile which has been shouting at me for days and then the nice grin across my face does do me wonders as well of course ;)

But now it means I really do now have to pack and get shit together so as to start the fun and frolics of which will all have me in stitches no doubt…

Merry Christmas all, hope you have a good one.

A year worthy of the memory banks

Current mood: grateful
Category: Life

*scuse the pun obviously*

Yep, the wrapping of presents and reading Lama's musical dedication to the year has made me sit back and think of just how much life has actually changed over the last year.

What with the changing of job, various men floating through the radar and friends who I have seen or not for varying reasons it must be said, hasn't been a bad one at all.

This fact I know is that I can't seem to stop smiling, so I must be doing something right. Of which isn't bad at all.

So to those I haven't given as much attention as I would have liked I am sorry but as any of you who really knows me I tend to do that. Doesn't mean that I don't care – I just get distracted.

To those who have been there for me throughout the varying ups and downs – thank you. You have all enriched my life be it good or bad and help me to learn and grow.

To those who have been complete twats… hell its Christmas, have a good one but keep in the back of your mind if I have called you a cunt in the last 12 months, chances are you will see a pattern forming and I would like you not to don my door again…

Words to describe it? Content, calm, relaxed & yes, I would say happy. Would I have ever expected that? No, but then I haven't packed up ready to toddle off to the family for crimbo yet… it could all change very soon J

So as I sign off from the internet for the next few days, just want to say Merry Christmas all, may you all be happy with life and 2008 be the best year ever.

Good news bad news….

Current mood: ecstatic
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

Yesterday was the resulting achievement review from my 3-month probation in the new job. I was starting to wonder what exactly would come about from said meeting and figured it would be kill or cure and I would either get a raving report or sacked.

There are two bits of good news, one, I wasn't sacked (which is always a bonus!) and the second bit is one of my requests for training was to be put through my Class 1 driving license… (Well if you don't ask you don't get) yep, I am going to be going through it in January! I really cant wait.

The bad news (which really isn't that bad if I am honest) is the proposed move of me to our new office opening up in February isn't happening now and they intend to keep me working here in the main Norwich branch with The big HP boss overlooking all three sites we have from the one central(ish) location…

I was looking forward to actually working out in the sticks but staying here sounds like a great idea too… so whatever location will do me fine and as long as I behave I'm sure it will go well.

Roll on Jan when I get to play with REALLY big trucks J

Miffed? I should say so…

Current mood: infuriated
Category: Life

Yesterday, I had another physio appointment as the neck and shoulders had started to play up once again. It's been 3 months since I last saw said chappie and figured the price of the session was indeed very much worth it considering the aggravation my neck has been giving me in the last week.

Now, I have changed my mind. The "wonder with his hands" found a slightly knotty bit about halfway down my spine (both sides) and decided to give it a really good raunching.

So last night I arrived home with the intention of a bit of nookie in the bath etc etc and couldn't hardly move. Wanker!

I am thinking I should sue the git for missing out on a bit of slap and tickle but am thinking that actually maybe I should just go back there and just knee him in the nuts instead and see how he likes it?

As much as I would love to, at the moment the thought of moving anywhere or even actually moving just isn't gonna happen…

AS IT FUCKING HURTS!

How naughty

Current mood: chipper
Category: Life

I've only just noticed how long it's been since I last blogged.

Bad Heidi *smacks owns arse*

So here's a brief update to the last, well month of what's happening at "Arse Towers"

Fortunately the stalking from ones ex seems to have stopped completely now. No hiding in the street in his car, ringing and have only had one email of which I just had to ignore. I am truly sorry for upsetting the boy but I really wish he could just fuck off and leave me alone from now on.

Other exciting stuff…. The tumble dryer finally gave up the ghost the day before toddling off to Amsterdam for the weekend. How fucking typical is that? I'm guessing the last repair of gaffa taping the twisty turny on thing just didn't cut the mustard (even though it did last a good two years after that)

So nabbed a van from work, toddled into Bennetts on the way home, flashed credit card to a spotty little oik and announced I was his perfect customer wanted 'That' tumble dryer (pointing at the culprit) and I want it in the back of that van right now.

This obviously was an easy task so I am still bemused as to why it took a whole half an hour to complete the transaction and the fact that the bird on the till asked quite dutifully if I would like to pay £75 for an extended warranty with said dryer. I think my face must have said it all but the words just spilled from my mouth as they always do.

"I've just payed £124 for a cheap shit dryer and you want HOW MUCH for that???? Are you having a giraffe???"

It went down well as the spotty little oik burst out laughing as well.

So…. Then toddled off for the works 'doo' (25th anniversary celebrations) which were conveniently held in Amsterdam.

Some travelled over by air (with the joys of a flight fuck up and three hours in Exeter airport – heh heh) some travelled by car and ferry and the likes of about 16 of us went in cars and the Euro tunnel.

It must be said I was very well prepared for the journey as wound a cake into me just before we left and slept the entire journey apart from getting out to go sleep in the nastiest truckers hotel in Zebrugge on route.

The rest of the weekend was drinking, smoking, eating cake and toddling off on a 'munchie fest' with a certain slightly shorter than most type person to get Chinese.

But I really did have a great time J

The only downside was going back to work Monday and feeling like complete and utter shite. Worth it though. It must have been a goodun as I was off sick Wednesday with a migrane and brain dead for the other bits of the week.

This afternoon has been the only real opportunity I have had al week due to "other commitments" to start to get stuff done… and to be honest, I need a rest!
